BRONZE FITTINGS
These straight (PTH) and curved (PTHC) fittings are designed for use with the same hose ID as the pipe size. In order to accommodate the designed hose ID, and to provide a safe wall thickness, the ID of the fitting must be smaller.
- Fittings are cast bronze
- A generous hex nut is cast-in to allow for secure tightening
- Sufficient hose seating area is provided for double-clamping

When I rebuilt my Groco seawater strainer over the winter, I decided to upgrade the fittings from plastic to bronze, especially since they are below the waterline and therefore a failure could sink the boat. Found this Groco 3/4 NPT to 3/4 hose adapter, and it is a solution that will last indefinitely. If I can find a 3/4 NPT to 5/8 hose in bronze, I'll replace the other one!
